personal reflection

Because mathematics is one of the few subjects that forces you to be precise, patient, and honest.

During my teenage years, I was not in a good place academically. The pandemic had disrupted my habits, and I spent too much time drifting without building the basics I needed. By the time I reached Form 4, I was far behind in mathematics and STEM subjects, and it showed. I failed Additional Mathematics and barely scraped through ordinary mathematics.

But that was also the moment I realized something important: mathematics was not just a school subject. It was a way of thinking. It taught me that discipline matters, that patterns are clues, and that understanding is built slowly. That realization changed the direction of how I study and how I think.
